I made a career switch from software engineering to product design because I really enjoy talking to people (no offense—engineers are fun to talk to too! :). I dabbled in UX during my final year of college and fell in love with it—designing based on user needs, not just what I personally like. I loved figuring out the thoughts behind the screen and connecting the dots to reach the right solution.
Being a product designer for 5+ years, the most enjoyable part of my work is figuring out the story—then delivering the solution. When a design request comes in, I validate the problem, assess the impact, clarify the end goal, and understand what’s really happening on the user’s end. I deliver solutions through UI, but that’s only 20% of my work. My strength lies in analyzing user behavior—whether through qualitative or quantitative data—making rational design decisions—not pretty failures, and measuring success after launch.
I’m a people person. Talk to me! I would love to meet with you :)
Dance has always been an important part of my life. I started when I was around 7 years old, back when schools organized kids’ dance performances as after-class activities. I’ve been an amateur dancer ever since—exploring Chinese traditional dance, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, popping, and K-pop. The dance community is so inclusive and supportive that I’ve met many great friends while enjoying time on the dance floor.
Since graduating, I mostly practice at home or at the gym. It’s my cardio, my meditation, and my excuse for eating sinful food. If you’re into dance too, hit me up!
My motivation for going to the gym: being able to eat without restraint :) I’m usually a very calm person—unless I’ve had really good food. Thanks to my family, who often cooked with me when I was little, I’ve been able to “feed” myself pretty well while living abroad. I enjoy all types of cuisine. If you’re a big eater, we’ll get along great!
